Steep Hours

When the kettles are on

Plan a quieter cup on Hämeenkatu — weekday mornings stay soft; weekends close a little earlier.

Weekly timetable

We open for morning cups on weekdays and keep shorter weekend hours so the room can stay calm.

Best times to visit

Weekday mornings after nine are gentle: students and remote workers settle in with greens and journals. The lunch stretch can fill the window tables; if you want a pot for two, arrive before noon or after three.

Saturday afternoons draw walkers from the city centre. We keep the music low and the pours steady. Sundays lean quieter again — a good day for oolong rounds or a long chamomile sit.

Public holidays may shorten hours. Email [email protected] a day ahead if you are travelling into Tampere and need confirmation. We reply in English; Finnish notes are welcome in your message.

What to expect

There is no table-service rush. Order at the counter, find a seat, and we bring the pot when the timer finishes. Large groups should write first so we can hold space without crowding regulars.

Strollers and bags fit near the wall seats. Laptops are welcome if volume stays considerate. We ask guests not to take phone calls at the shared tables; step outside onto Hämeenkatu if you need a longer conversation.
